ABOUT

THE NESTING DOLL is a short film about two adult brothers, William and Richard, who reunite at their childhood home to relocate their mother Eleanor into a memory care unit for aging seniors. Eleanor, diagnosed with mid-stage dementia, has become increasingly fixated on a missing nesting doll from a hand-painted heirloom set. This inspires the brothers to search for the keepsake, which is inside a time capsule the two buried as kids in the woods behind their backyard. The story takes place in 2014.
